Fall Decor: Homes of the Shoals Part 3

Fall is definitely in the air today.  I actually put on a sweater while sitting on my front porch this morning.  No I still have not put out any fall decor yet but two more of my friends have decorated for fall.  Let's sit back and take tour of two more "Homes of the Shoals".

The mums are going to be beautiful when the blooms open.

Come on in.
I love this wreath and she made it!

This catches your eye as soon as you walk in.

The mantel is so pretty.

The display in the kitchen is so cute!

Here's a closeup.

Of course it wouldn't be fall in Alabama without a football wreath.

Now on to the backyard.

Isn't this beautiful?
So pretty at night with the accent lighting.

Now on to the next tour.

This house is nestled in a wooded area on the lake not too far from our house. It's actually very close by boat.

The little scarecrow is so cute!

Let's go inside and see her decor.

A little bit of whimsy. This artwork is made from fabric and scrap materials by a local artist, Martha Beadle.  Can you read the caption on it?  "If you're lucky enough to live by the lake, you're lucky enough."  I can vouch for that!

Click here to see her website:  Martha's Needle eccentricities

Can you see the corn husk figurines on the mantel?  They were also made by a local artist Ellen Goode. You can see more of her beautiful designs at jaminmark.com

OK, I'm an equal opportunity blogger!

I think it is cool enough now to fill up those pumpkin mugs with some hot chocolate.

Beautiful fall table settings.
This is on the back porch that overlooks the lake.

I love how you can see the lake from the breakfast room too.

I hope you have enjoyed the tour of these beautiful homes.  It's time for me to put out some fall decor.

Autumn in the Shoals Part 2

Today I am featuring another beautiful home in the Shoals area decorated for fall.   Just like us, this couple sold their home in a beautiful Florence neighborhood, bought a fixer upper and downsized to the lake.

There is a wrap around porch with a beautiful view of the lake.

I know that they enjoy sitting on this porch sipping a cup of coffee in the mornings.

Come on in and let's take a tour.

Speaking of coffee, the kitchen has the cutest coffee bar.
I am excited to see how she will decorate it for Christmas.

She also added a touch of whimsy.  She is quite the artist and yes, she painted this wall hanging.  In fact she painted all of the artwork you will see here. If you look close enough you will see her signature in the bottom corner.

Now to the dining room.

I want that Sunflower painting!

Next is the cozy living room.

The crocheted coasters and swag were done by her 88 year old mother.  You can see who my friend gets her creativity from.

I can just picture sitting in front a fire on a cold night sipping on coffee

I hope you have enjoyed the tour of another beautiful home in the Shoals of Alabama.  There will be another one featured soon.
